"Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shall thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shall be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord; he shall give thee the desires of thine heart". (Psalm 27:3-4).
It is truly refreshing to look into the words of our heavenly Father. It is the well where we are showered with the blessing from the wellspring of His word.
The first sentence in this verse is an instruction to us all.
'Trust in the Lord and do good'. Trust is a show of confidence in what we believe and what we stand for. God looks at our heart and knows if we truly trust Him. Our conviction exudes through our actions.
Our father requires us to do good. Jesus went about doing good and as His children we should do same.
What you do is always seen even if nobody comes to tell you that they are noticing. The verse continues by saying we shall dwell in the land based on the good we do. Isaiah 1: 19 clearly tells us that if we are willing and obedient, we will eat the good of the land.
'Verily' simply means truly or without a doubt. So without a doubt we will be fed by our heavenly Father. The Lord says we should delight also in Him and our heart's desires will be be given our heart's desires.
It is good to know that God has ability to take care of our shelter, clothing and food needs. God is a faithful God.
DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD AND THE DESIRES WILL BE GIVEN.
TRUSTING GOD WILL FEED YOU.
