And this is the blessing of Judah:
and he said, Hear Lord the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his
people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from
his enemies. (Deuteronomy 33:7)
Today we will start looking closely at this beautiful
verse that has several eye-opening sides. Moses the great man of God was about to
die but not before declaring blessing to the children. To Judah he made a
petition to the Lord.
“Hear
Lord the voice of Judah”. The importance of this first part is no small thing.
Nobody wants to take out time to pray only to discover your prayer was not
heard. That will be nothing short of painful. The only prayer that God despises
is the prayer of a sinner. The benefit of being a child of God is declared in
Jeremiah 33:3 which says “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee
great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” That is encouraging.
(Please
if for any reason you that is reading is yet to accept Jesus as your Lord,
kindly take a minute now and surrender to Him. Simply say Lord Jesus come into
my heart today. I choose you as my Lord and Saviour from today. Take over all
that concerns me and be my guide in Jesus name I pray, Amen).
I noticed that of all the sons of Jacob, Judah was the
one whose prayer request began that way. “Hear
Lord the voice of Judah”. Your voice is what draws attention to you. It
is the sound that people know you with and it identifies your location.
Hallelujah! My prayer today is that the Lord will identify you and direct your
blessings your way.
Your voice is your presence. It would appear that
Judah had somewhat moved away from the original position he had. Like Adam, God
came down one evening and asked, “Adam where are you?” That is not a surprise
anyway because Judah indeed messed up with his daughter- in- law. Moses simply
interceded on his behalf.
Moses prayed that wherever Judah found himself and
called out to the Lord; the Lord would recognize Him in His mercy and reach out
to Him. Hallelujah! Isn’t that what the Lord would want? Isn’t that why He sent
Jesus to Calvary to give us the premise of His Advocacy? I encourage you that is reading that no
matter how bad things look right now the Lord’s ear is open to hear you today.
Call out to Him and watch Him deliver you.
YOU ARE BLESSED IN JESUS NAME!
