It is he that sitteth
upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are like grasshoppers;
that stretchest out the heavens as a curtain; and spreadeth them as a tent to
dwell in. That bringeth princes to nothing: he maketh judges of the earth
vanity. (Isaiah 40:22-23)
Today we
take a look at the majesty of our God.
The verse starts very clearly with the
fact that God sits upon the circle of
the earth. This means that God is right there at the base of what holds the
earth together. He is fully aware of what happens in the earth. Our God is big.
He is awesome. He is mighty and when He looks down upon the earth the
inhabitants are like grasshoppers. Can you imagine that description? The
inhabitants are like grasshoppers. So why do you doubt when you pray to a God
that is that big? No matter your prayer point, it can never be bigger than the
Almighty.
“He stretches the earth like a
curtain”. Our God is
the initiator of interior decorations. Have you taken out time once in a while
to look up into the sky and look at the way the clouds are arranged and
sometimes the rays of the suns pierce through the clouds and create an awesome
effect? I tell you the scene is truly breath-taking. I schooled in ABSU and it is surrounded by hills. I have seen sunset, sunrise, and
scenery after rain as the little white birds fly past. I also had the
opportunity to see many scenes of nature in my secondary school days in F.G.G.C. Abuja and it was truly awesome.
When you
have opportunity to see such beauty you will appreciate the majesty of our King.
Hallelujah to the King of glory! God also stretches it like a tent to dwell in.
I say it again nobody can beat our God in interior or exterior decoration. This
God is too much. God rules in heaven and governs in the affairs of men.
The Lord brings princes to nothing. No matter how highly placed any
prince is, he is still just a prince. Our God is King of kings. He is the highest
authority. He said He has the heart of kings in His hands. The Lord makes the
judges of the earth vanity. Have you ever wondered how a matter that has been
decided previously can be overturned in just a minute? That can only be God.
Amazingly, as big as our God is, He
still wants to live in our hearts. That is truly a privilege that words cannot
fully describe. As mighty as He is He takes time to hear us when we call.
Celebrate our God. He loves us unconditionally.
Hallelujah!
