KNOW THE JOYFUL SOUND! Click and read more

Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, o Lord, in the light of thy countenance. In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: in thy righteousness shall they be exalted. For thou art the glory of their strength: in thy favour our horn is exalted. For the Lord is our defence: and the Holy One of Israel is our king. (Psalm 89:15-17).

Blessed are the people that recognize the sound of joy. Have you ever found yourself in the midst of people who are always pessimistic or very negative towards any happening even when it is something to be rejoice about? They have a way of puncturing your excitement. The verse we are looking at clearly states that there is blessing attached to recognizing an atmosphere that gladdens the heart. In life no normal person likes to hang around negative persons.  The blessing attached is the fact that you will walk in the light of His countenance. God’s countenance is glorious. It radiates peace, joy, love, healing and all good things.

“In thy name shall they rejoice all the day”. Remember that the name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous run into it and they are saved. Knowing the potency of the name of the Lord causes endless rejoicing. Recognizing the Lord’s presence at all times is a major morale booster. God cares for us. The verse continues by declaring that our prosperity and establishment is tied to our love for the Lord’s righteousness.
Remember the bible says that righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach.

God is the glory of our strength. The Lord is the backing for accomplishment in our lives. Remember except the Lord watches over a house the watchers do their watch in vain. Except the Lord builds a house the builders are building in vain.
“In favour our horn is exalted”. Remember the blessing of God makes rich and adds no sorrow to it.

For the Lord is our defence. The Lord protects. He is our shield and our buckler. He is a present help in the time of need. He is our banner. Greater is He that lives in you than he that is in the world. He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  The Holy One of Israel is our King. I thank the Lord for the assurance of the benefits we enjoy in Him.

Hallelujah!
