GOOD DEEDS ARE STORED! Click and read more
And the king said what honour hath been done to Mordecai for this? (Esther 6:3)
Beautiful people we will continue to look at the story of Mordecai today. The lessons to be gleaned from the verses are refreshing. Yesterday we saw the good deed of Mordecai save king Ahausuerus. The king lost his sleep one night when the set time for Mordecai's favour arrived. We all celebrate this scripture and continually raise fantastic prayer points from it like, "Every one holding my favour i declare you will lose your sleep until you release what is mine to me in Jesus name, Amen!"
But wait a minute, Mordecai's deed was recorded in the record books and it was while the contents of the record books was looked at that the saving deed was remembered. What if the deed was not written? Or there were no witnesses of such deeds? The truth is that our heavenly Father does not reward in a vacuum. I am prompted at this point to ask you that is reading, "What good deed can be traced to you?" Sometimes we go through life selfishly and forget to affect people positively.
Our heavenly gave us our brain and put a memory compartment there. Whether you do good or bad, people take note and record the information consciously or unconsciously. This is evident whenever you find yourself in a gathering and someone is needed for a particular task, people naturally recommend a name of someone based on previous competences of the individual.
Mordecai did something that stood out and it was recorded. Joseph interpreted dreams previously and when the set time for him to interpret the big dream that mattered most, the Lord caused remembrance from the butler's memory bank.
In life, every man has a book of records(whether physically or mentally). The human mind stores information. It could be good or bad memories. No matter how long you have been forgotten, God will remind someone about your past good deed or influences in Jesus name.
It is God that causes men to remember.
