GOD IS ON YOUR SIDE. Read and know more

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear; what can man do unto me? (Psalm 118:6)

Today King David makes a declaration on who is backing him up. It is a clear statement of confidence. Have you ever seen a group of children gathered together and playing. They also gist among themselves and have the tendency to boast about the capabilities of each of their parents. If for any reason anyone of them is being troubled by someone, the child wastes no time in telling that his mummy or daddy will beat you.
Or have taken a stroll with your child and someone passes by his side and he stretches out his hand to beat the person for no reason. The child behaves that way because he is sure you would defend him if  trouble ensued.

Is that also how we should feel with our heavenly Father? When walk the road, when you are in the office or market place; or in your bed at night, you need to understand that God himself is right there with you. He is still Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent. I feel like dancing already. David had consciously come to the understanding that God was by his side always. Remember when his family was not with him as he tended the sheep, God was strength to him when he killed the lion and the bear.

David had encountered God severally. He was always protected even when Saul tried to throw a javelin at him. He clearly asked the question in the verse, 'what can man do to  me?' One can only get to this level of confidence by experience. For each miracle of deliverance in David's life, he took God more seriously and recorded his encounters in his mind.

Today God expects you and I to be more conscious and confident of His past deliverance and build our faith for tomorrow's challenges so that when confronted we can say like David, 'The Lord is on my side, what can man do unto me?

No matter the conspiracy against you, be confident that God has taken sides with you. So give God a shout of praise.
