GOD IS PAYING ATTENTION

And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? (Job 1: 8-9)

Every time I look at these verses of scripture, I am always amazed. At the same time I get into deep thought on the issues that spring up when I read through the verses of this beautiful chapter. Imagine the scenario, God Almighty is sitting relaxed and watching over all creation neither sleeping nor slumbering as usual. I must say our God is awesome.
Somewhere in the midst of Godly duty, Satan steps into the Lord’s presence and suddenly the Lord cannot hold back and asks an interesting question. Hast thou considered my servant Job? Worthy of note is the choice of words in the question. The Lord did not ask Satan if he has seen or simply “have you heard about Job?” Rather the Lord specifically chose to ask if Satan had considered Job.

Let me explain what I mean. When someone categorically asks some to consider another individual it suggests that the one recommending has taken time to pay attention to certain qualities that would fit the requirement of the time and season. For instance, where there is a vacancy to be filled for a job opening, there are criteria for assessment. In this setting the Lord is clearly recommending.
He knows fully well that the enemy looks for whom to devour especially one he can easily override. God was so confident that he read out Job’s resume with excitement. I have to ask myself at this point, if the Lord were to reel out my resume how excited would He be? You should ask yourself the same question. In all that we do we must seek to ultimately seek to please the Lord.

The other thing I noticed was that it was the Lord that started the conversation. Usually when one comes into the presence of a higher authority the usually question is what can I do for you but Job had so impressed the Lord that He needed to praise Job to everyone’s hearing even if the enemy was included in the list of those to appreciate Job’s excellent standing before the most High. My prayer as you go through this write up your heart will be stirred up to stand out before our heavenly Father. Job’s life is truly a major a challenge.
As much as I do not envy him with the gruesome experience he went through but I must say that a recommendation by the Most High is worth everything. It will attract the favour of protection that will preserve life ultimately and a total restoration of all that is lost during the process even a double fold restoration. God is paying attention to our consistency so let us not disappoint. Let us pray God to give us grace in Jesus name.

MY STRENGTH AND MY SONG

The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation. The voice of rejoicing and salvation is the tabernacle of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly. (Psalm 118:14-15)

An event is a notable occurrence. Events provoke rejoicing when its impact is positive. However when the consequences are negative or painful the experience is usually not easy to take in. The things that we go through and come out of are simply events. These events reveal the acts of God that stir our hearts to rejoice in Him and be grateful for what he does. God will always show you reasons to praise Him. Remember He inhabits our praise (He lives in it). The Lord is our strength – he is our enabler, he is our propelling force for achievement. When there is strength to accomplish a thing, a song breaks out at the sight of the accomplishment. As long as God is our strength, we can always accomplish and invariably have a song to sing always. Amen!

The experiences during these events can be seen as a good thing or bad depending on one’s perspective of things. The Lord will always allow us go to through different stages. We are to come out better and stronger. When we come out of any trying situation we are forced into singing the beautiful song of deliverance giving God all the glory. The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

Hallelujah!

FEAR GOD AND WALK IN HIS WAY! Click and read.

Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants and about thy table. (Psalm 128: 1-3)

Clearly the Lord states unequivocally that there is a blessing attached to fearing the Lord. It is an engraved tag that inevitably triggers blessing. The blessing extends to those that walk in the way of the Lord. For you to walk in God’s way it means that the pathway is already defined. The directions for walking in the Lord’s ways are found in the bible. Remember that this book of law should not depart from our mouth rather we are to meditate on it day and night so that we are careful to observe all that is written therein and our way will be prosperous and we will have good success.

The path of the Lord is defined in His word. It is like having the address of a friend with the directions on how to arrive written on paper. As long as you follow the directions you are sure to arrive at your friends place. Walking in God’s way ensures that we arrive at the doorpost of blessing. I will eat of the labour of my hands in Jesus name. You will eat of the labour of your hands in Jesus name. The Lord says you will not be deprived of the reward of your labour. God is the God of seed time and harvest. Happiness and wellness is also guaranteed. Your family shall be fruitful. Peace shall dwell in your borders in Jesus name.

Fear God (i.e. reverence) and walk in His way; that is what guarantees blessing indeed. His promise when we fear him and walk in his way is that we will be fruitful in our lives and family. The verse was specific in the instruction. Walk in God’s ways. This suggests that there is already a clear path that must be identified by us. His guidance is in his word and we need to search it out continually so that we are well directed. If you are willing and obedient you will eat the good of the land. (Isaiah 1:19)

THE PRODUCT OF OBEDIENCE IS ALWAYS FRUITFULNESS.
