ENJOY THE FRUIT OF YOUR LABOUR. Click and read more.

And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is a gift of God. I know that whatsoever God doeth, it shall be forever nothing can be put to it, nor anything taken from it, that men should fear before him. (Ecclesiastes 3: 13-14)

I love our God. At the beginning of this lovely chapter the Lord clearly points out the need to take note of the fact that, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven”. As you read through the verses you discover different illustrations of various seasons. The key to improvement is tied closely to understanding what season you are in and applying the right wisdom per time. God cares so much for us His children. The Lord desires that 'every man' not 'some men' should eat and drink. God is also a God of balance. As you work it is expected that your work should be blessed enough to take care of your feeding needs.

“And enjoy the good of all his labour“. Do you realize that for every effort you make, you may not get the desired results sometimes because life is full of learning processes? We all make mistakes at some points in our lives but we must learn from those mistakes and move on. As much as we may not have mastered all the principles that govern every area of life, the Lord’s desire for us His children is that we enjoy the good of our labour and not the bad of our labour. So as we all make effort in our various areas of endeavor it is the Lord’s desire that He will bless the work of our hands. Therefore whenever you feel like the work of your hands is not giving you the desired result, just call on the Lord, remind Him of the promises in His word, believe and patiently wait for Him to turn things around in your favour.

Note that discouragement, doubts, fear and other negatives hang around life’s way but we must stay courageous and full of faith if we are to make it. God’s word is ever true. He has declared that we will enjoy the good of all his labour, it is a gift of God. It is a gift of God truly because whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap. As long as the earth remains, seed time and harvest will not cease. (Genesis 8:22).

“I know that whatsoever God doeth, it shall be forever nothing can be put to it, nor anything taken from it, that men should fear before him.” This verse is truly reassuring to know this attribute of our God. If God does a thing it is evident. The blessing of God makes rich and adds no sorrow to it. What God does is forever. That speaks of permanence. God’s work is full of beauty and it must bring glory to Him always. He has said that what He does is perfect and that nothing can be added or taken to it. For instance, it is God that gives conception. No man can add or take away anything from that. When you look up to the sky you see the clouds arranged in splendor. The rain falls, the sun shines and no man can take glory for that.

Truly the evidence of the awesomeness of our God is undeniable to say the least. Walk in this confidence daily that you will eat the good of your labour eventually. As sure as the dawning of a new day is so also are the promises of our God. Dear Lord show us favour daily.

TIME AND SEASONS SPEAK. Click and read.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and time to build up. (Ecclesiastes 3: 1-3)

We will take a look at these beautiful verses once again. There is indeed time for everything. The Lord himself took time to inspire these verses to be written. Remember “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” If the Lord has said there is a season and a time for everything under heaven then we will do well to pay attention to what the Lord is saying. If you take a closer look at the potency of these verses you will discover the solid truth in it.

A farmer goes to his farm with seeds during the planting season. As he plants he recognizes the fact that he has to wait a while before the fruit of his labour is visible. In between the time of planting and harvest season, the farmer keeps an eye on his farmland and makes sure that weeds do not overtake his young plants. A mother conceives and has to wait for nine months for the baby in the womb to be fully formed. Labour does not start until the entire process is complete. Nine months is not nine days. Every animal that conceives does not just have their kind reproduce immediately. Truly there is time for everything.

Even when you have a wound no matter how small or deep, it takes some time for total healing to occur. During the healing process you must endure the pain attached to the healing. All over the world, there are seasons. In Nigeria we have the rainy and dry seasons respectively. In other parts of the world, we have the spring; summer, autumn and winter seasons respectively. Each season has characteristics that we identify them with. The cold of winter is not the ideal time for farmers to embark on planting. Likewise it will be foolhardy of us if we decide to ignore the characteristics of each of the season we find ourselves.

Just as the rainy and dry seasons have signs they show for us to identify which one we presently find ourselves; so also life is in seasons. Whichever season of life you are in, it is so important that we take time to pause and pay attention to the signs so that we equip ourselves adequately and respond as occasion warrants. For instance, a relationship may turn sour eventually if the parties involved never took time to read the handwriting on the wall.
Parents should keep their eyes open on the growth pattern of their children to know when an abnormality is showing up so that the issues are tackled early. You cannot bend a fully grown iroko tree.

A family that starts enjoying wealth early must observe well and invest a portion because in life there will be winter like seasons at some point. Seasons speak and we must pay attention. My sincere prayer for us all is that the Lord will keep us sensitive to know what season of life we find ourselves and also give us wisdom to take the right decisions as occasion warrants in Jesus name.

A TIME FOR PROCESS. Click and read more.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. (Ecclesiastes 3: 1-4)

Is it not amazing to discover these interesting verses? The bible is truly the word of God. It is full of inspiring words that form our lives if we pay attention to its contents. It never ceases to amaze me when I hear people constantly whine once they are faced with a situation that is not going according to their plan. You know we have gotten so used to the sweet verses that have the beautiful promises we desire to manifest in our lives.

But I want to ask you have ever seen any piece of land that is not cleared, tilled, planted on that brings forth the desired harvest of the farmer without any effort of disfiguring the soil to makes a hole for planting? Have you ever considered the fact that every beautiful house or skyscraper never looked so good while in the early construction stages? So why do we move around with this erroneous belief that life is beautiful all the way without process?
The truth is that the average human being is really very impatient and does not like the concept of process.

As a person I would really love everything in my life to be perfect but beloved I have come to discover it is not always. We must have the good and the not so good times. The sweet times are the times we celebrate, enjoy our accomplishments. The not so good is still a process.

Abraham had revelation that he would be father of many nations but it did not change the fact that he had to learn the lesson on patiently waiting on the Lord for His set time. Joseph had dreams that he will have sheaves bow to him, he had dreams that even the sun and moon will bow to him. Wow! Is that not a privilege to see your future vividly? However those dreams did not stop “process”. If indeed you carry greatness in you then you must submit to “process”.

Every baby that is born grows. There is the teething phase that keeps the child uncomfortable but still there must be time for teething. There must be a time to learn to crawl – even if the child keeps falling down. The child must go through process. No matter how much you love your little child, that little child must go through the process of walking. I am going through process as I journey through life.

There is time for everything. I cannot seem to say it enough. There is time for everything. God is a God of process. Jesus came to earth as a baby, grew up in the house of a carpenter, and probably had to learn carpentry a bit either by practice or just observation. The reason is “process”. He had to understand and appreciate the beauty of transformation that goes on with a plain piece of wood from plainness to the beauty of a finished chair, table or any beautiful piece of furniture you can imagine. So while paying the price on the Cross, He truly understood the potency of process that would transform man from lost to redeemed to enjoy true beauty in God. Hallelujah!
