Has thou not known?
Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the
ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither weary? There is no searching of his
understanding. He giveth power to the faint and to them that have no might he
increaseth strength. (Isaiah 40:28-29)
It is an
undisputed, undeniable truth that God is everlasting. He is Lord indeed and of
course Creator of even the ends of the earth. God is my Father. He is our Father.
The verse starts with a question. Our Lord, Creator of the ends of the earth
does not faint neither does He get weary for any reason. The strength of the Lord
is inexhaustible. It is important that we appropriate this understanding to
ourselves because it boosts our confidence in the capabilities of our God.
“There is no searching
of his understanding.” In all honesty have you ever taken out time to try to fully understand our
God? If you are honest to yourself, you got exhausted trying. The reason is
because there is no searching of His understanding. Just when you think you
have fully comprehended him; He shows you a new side to His awesomeness.
Remember He is the Sovereign God. He has already declared to us in the book of
Isaiah that His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than
our thoughts. He is the awesome God and he only one that has ability to forgive
our iniquities and throw it into the sea of forgetfulness. He is the one that
declares that by strength shall no man prevail.
“He giveth power to the
faint and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.” The faint is one who has no energy to
go on. There are times in life when you lack drive, strength and you feel a
certain level of exhaustion and disappoint. In those times you need to know
that God gives power to the faint and increases the little strength of those that
lack might. Reach out and ask for help from the Lord. The lord is the strength
of our lives.
