For I will restore
health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds saith the Lord; because
they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion whom no man seeketh after.
(Jeremiah 30:17)
The essence
of looking into God’s word is to know His mind about different areas and
consciously take a stand in that direction. Today we see another encouraging word
from our God. In spite of what His children had gone through the Lord was
releasing an assurance of restored health. The fact that there will be a
restoration of health indicates that there initial good health that existed had
been tampered with. It is so good to know that God is watching us closely to
know when we have experienced a shift in his initial plan for our lives. He
makes a clear and bold declaration today that there is provision for good
health. We should celebrate this already.
“And I will heal thee
of thy wounds saith the Lord.” I am not the one talking. It is our heavenly Father declaring
His mind. His stand or approach is so clear. The Lord himself will heal my
wound and your wounds. You will agree with me that we have categories of wounds
we experience in life. Some of those wounds come from various challenges. It
comes from relationships gone sour; from tough financial situation; betrayal
from close allies or the likes; bad decisions that leave us badly bruised. Healing
of the wounds of life is assured. However at this point I want us all to take
note that healing takes time. It is a process. It is not instant. That is why the
memories of the experience linger for a while before time heals it gradually.
It is like having a physical wound on the body. The wound does not instantly
disappear. We must be patient while the healing goes on.
Severally I say people who are so impatient with their healing process but to such I say that depending on the type of wound life has inflicted on you; it is a direct indication on the time it takes to heal. A little scrape takes less time than a sprain or even a fracture. During the healing lessons are learnt and decisions are made for future encounters. What you learn will equip you and improve your pain threshold. You will no more be called an Outcast but rather Zion. For on Mount Zion is deliverance and possession. You will become a pillar of encouragement. One reason why your healing is necessary is so that your strength will return to you so that you can have new strength to accomplish much more and find fulfillment. It is well with you in Jesus name.
